The mission of Second Harvest Heartland (SHH) is to end hunger together. We're a leading hunger-relief organization, and we believe everyone deserves to eat. Our 1,000+ food shelf and hunger relief program partners rely on us for 83% of the food they distribute in their local communities. Last year we provided 143M+ meals and distributed 166M+ pounds of food. As the largest food bank in MN and the 2nd largest in the country, SHH is a national leader in food distribution and advocacy efforts. We serve as an innovator, unifier, and model in the national Feeding America network of food banks. We've set a bold goal to cut MN hunger in half by 2030, focused on three pillars: more food today, meaningful support for a better tomorrow, and long-term stability through innovative partnerships.
